True friends' fun,
he became her number one.
they laughed all day and night.
he shielded her from all fright.

When their friendship became to grow,
they became more, and it would show.

When she saw him, her eyes lit up like stars,
looking upon with a pounding heart, as if he were from mars.

at first sight, he captured her broken heart,
he held it close forever, like fragile art.

this, is for True Friends' Fun...

The author's comments:
I was in the hallway talking to my best friend of five yrs. I love him with all I have, and I can't imagine loving another person as much as I love Drew. I then went to class with nothing but him on my mind. My teacher told me to write down what was so important that I couldn't focus on class work. In spite, I wrote this poem.
