I stand in a room alone
With a shining mirror that sees
Nothing more than others do
But is it the real me?

I have a name
I have an age
I have a place I stay
But how, I must wonder, does that define me

Does my name change who I am
Or perhaps my age
Does where I stay affect me
More than one can say

If not then how, I wonder, can I answer this
Who am I, you ask, will you help me please?
Is there an answer that is absolute?
Or can we only guess?

The author's comments:
Who am I? That is a question with far too many answers. Each of us is a human with potential to be most anything and we’re constantly changing. Of course, you can simply give the basic answers; your name, your age, where you live and so on but that doesn’t define all that you are. And so, there is no answer to this question. Either you give the only the simplest answers or you give no answer at all.
