Time Flies

They say time flies,
But I’m only sixteen.
Time just seems to be an intimidating figure,
Because we have so little of it.

We are told to make the most of it,
Told to use it wisely.
To a young person time seems unlimited,
But everything in this life has a limit.

Nobody can purchase more,
Nobody can slow down its progress.
Time edges forward, sometimes gradually, others swiftly,
Don’t attempt to evade time, live in the time given
