Smiling with tears of joy
Trying to look
sophisticated
Black tux and tie
Hair slicked back
Not worrying about if
My pants or tucked in
Or my shoes

Ears tingiling
My two sisters looking at me
Wondering when its going
To be over so they can
Get there pictures out of the
Way and we can go home
The photographer
Yells “done now scam”
I triple off the stage and
Roll my eyes and sit in a
Wooden chair propped up
Like a straight stick
