Ode to My Phone
Getting me up for school every morning,
Keeping all my secrets in your little notepad,
Allowing me to escape the world in my music,
You keep me together.
Calls to Grandma,
Text from the BFF,
Pictures sent of my niece,
You never fail to keep me connected to the world.
Thank you for always letting me look at you through awkward situations,
Lighting my way when I have needed you the most,
Capturing all my unforgettable moments,
And doing my math homework when I’m just too lazy.
I may not always have your back,
And sometimes I let you fall,
But through thick and thin you’ve been there
And have never left my side.
