I am from many cries
Cries of death and lies
The Struggles of Just getting by
Hearts that are torn apart
Life of growing up in the dark
I am from where you play your part
EngleWood Chicago, is where I’m from
Were the streets are getting exhausted from inhaling bullets from those guns
Many Live Many Die
Channel 12, 10 year old hit in the midst of a drive-by
Life is tough on the south side
So I am from many cries of death and lies
Allen County welcomed me with open arms
In its hands I felt so warm
Allen County held me so tight,
That I wanted to sleep in their arms for the night
Life of struggle is no more
I believe I can fly and soar.
