Broken Inside
My cheeks are stained with these mascara tears
BLOOD SHOT EYES, AS IF I’M HIGH... ON MY OWN SORROW
YOU MADE ME A RAINBOW, THEN TOOK IT AWAY
NOW THERE’S JUST BLACK- LIKE THE NIGHT THERE IS NO DAY!
YOU HYPNOTIZED ME and MADE ME BELIEVE
NOW I AM LEFT HERE TO PAY THE FEE!
LUCKY FOR ME THOUGH
I CAN HIDE MY PAIN, I AM ALONE, I AM SOLO!
BUT DON’T LET IT FOOL YOU
I AM BROKEN INSIDE
ALL BECAUSE OF YOU, ALL BECAUSE YOU LIED
BUT I’LL KEEP my heartbreak AND ALL MY DROWNING Tears hidden as a dark secret.
So I shall not tell...
I’ll let it eat me up; here I have no doubt!
Chew and chew and then spit me right back out!
You’ve moved on but I’m still stuck
I shall break free, it’ll take up all of my strength.
