The Red Dress
It was a simple dress
It was red, but not just any red
It was a beautiful crimson red
It might have been a little worn
But she loved it dearly
To her it was way more than a red dress
To her it resembled bravery and courage
To her it resembled love and kindness
She has held on to this dress since she was little
Holding on and never letting go
Never forgetting who gave it to her
A woman with so much strength
A woman who lost her battle to cancer
A woman who was her mother
