You grabbed a knife
And went behind my back
You pushed it in
Until you heard a crack
When you let go
You tried to stand beside me
But I wouldn't let you
Because I had already let go
If I had known you would have tried to betray me
I would have said don't try to befriend me
I've been hurt too many times
Too get hurt another time
Go ahead and walk away
I will let you, time won't stop you
The memory of what we had hasn't gone away
But my place that mourns over you will fade away
