Everyone else controls
little bits and pieces of me,
bits and pieces of my life.
I'm split up among them
and they pull,
and pull,
tearing at the parts of me they hold.
It's like they forget that the pieces
are still attached to me.
It feels like I'm stuck in the middle
of a massive game of tug-of-war
and no one's letting go,
no one's giving me a break.
