He held you close throughout the years,
Making sure you were safe from all your tears.
He captured the pain and sorrow you would feel,
Making your life feel unreal,
He took advantage of what’s real in life,
And carved out your heart with his hand as the knife,
You were close to the edge,
And he let you fall,
Letting your memories fall to the ground,
They crumbled into pieces when he left.
And then you realize,
