My heart chokes as I try to say hello
So instead I write down a heartfelt note.
You didn't reply right away
My sadness grows.

The next day you replied
Saying my drawing was cool.
This made me wish you had already
Been attending my school.

You call me Babygirl
I merely blush.
You claim I'm the one you been
Praying for.

But how will I know
I'm not part of some kind of score?
Right hand you are to me.
Forever hopefully mine.

If it's my love you seek promise
Me you won't be just boyfriend for
The week.

The author's comments:
This is an actual crush I experienced and it just frustrated me how I couldn't draw out how I felt that day so instead I used my words but it wasn't shared to others. It shows how a teen would feel after being hurt over and over again wanting love without disappointment.
