There was that
Period of time
When I just couldn't
Get you off of
My mind
Then I realized
We would never be
And the months
Went by
Where I tried and tried
My hardest
To say goodbye
Then I thought
I was totally over you
Ready to move on
You were no longer
All in my head
And more time
Passed slowly
As I got by
Without your face
Popping into
My every thought
That all changed though
When you talked to me again
And gave me
Your breathtaking smile
Now you've snuck
Back into all my hopes
And you appear
In all my dreams
I can't get you
Out of my head again
And I can only wonder
If this vicious cycle
Will ever end
