Swooping down onto concrete
Her deed is done once more
Day in, day out they do not
defend themselves. For
they know she watches over
Her heart, her smile
Both big yet beguiling
Clothing her thoughts which
Are not quite shining
In her reflection,
She sees what they do not.
A woman who yearns for mediocrity.
Only acceptance, not praise
Daisies grow in the family garden
Where she hears her children's laughter.
This vivid dream, a dream it will remain
and so will our hero, forever an impostor
