THE SUNRISE

I’m sitting on the porch.
Eagerly waiting for the moment to arise,
For the gleam to come, for the dark to vaporize.
The sky would be orange in hue,
With yellow and red imbued.
The shine shall light the atmosphere,
Shall fill the voids, shall take out the despair.
To give a new ray to humanity,
To end all disparity.
This noble work, which is still left undone
Shall be accomplished by none but one.
The kind air, which I shall breathe in soon
The aesthetic view which I will absorb so soon;
This is what makes me stay up,
Throughout the night-this desperation.
Shall soon find satisfaction.
Oh, what is it? A blinding light falls on the ground,
A glare of beam so profound
That it still seems to be unbound
By anything,
From everything.
I look up and as my eyes take in the surmise,
I notice that finally it is the SUNRISE.
