Aesop’s Fable MAG
I am a runner, but not a hare,
it is true that I bound, sight borders,
boundaries, bequeath no edge
but I am no hare.
I do not slumber as I leap, do not dream,
no harebrain conquest,
rather tortoise temperament,
tenacious in a tournament,
a tactical Trojan traversing toward triumph, no task that can’t be tackled,
a peregrination, a trek, not a tumble,
treading terrain, transcending time,
a terrestrial triumph.
Aesop’s Fable,
more fact than fiction,
I am a runner, but not a hare,
being deft of foot is tested
by strategy of turf,
closely observed by tortoise eyes.
