Walking
Down this one path
never stopping
Always looking back
Scared you watch
As it gets closer.
You move faster
But still it gets closer
The thing you fear
Haunting you
Day and night.
Running from it
Hoping it doesn’t
Caught you.
Sprinting
Stumbling
Watching it catch up.
Waiting,
Hoping it doenst,
To find it never will.
Sprinting forward,
Starting a new
Hoping to leave it behind
For good.
