You walked into my life
At the worst time,
I had just had my heart broke
I should have seen the sign.

We got to know each other
Through work and as friends,
My broken heart healed
And the breaker came back.

He said he loved me too much
To leave me to long,
Being foolish young me
I ran back to “love.”

A month came and went
You and I became closer,
The heart breaker broke me more
A love that was false.

I tried to love again
coulddn’t do that,
The relapse lover left
And I stood there and cried.

But standing by my side
Was a lover and friend,
Someone who held my heart
In the palm of his hand.

A love never to leave,
