harsh, ruthless
murdering, slaughtering, destroying

The author's comments:
This poem is a diamante, and used to prove something. The message of this poem is surrounding genocide, and how because life is so happy, if you are facing death, you should never give up. Through imagery and its seven line descriptions, this poem also distinguishes the difference between life and death.
