There she is-
In the mirror.
Staring back at me with bloodshot eyes
Pleading to set her free.

She is no more than an average girl.
Yearning to be something more.

There she is –
In the mirror.
Reflecting a lonely, lost soul
Trying to reach out,
Calling my name
Begging me to let her out.

She is no more than a reflection,
Yearning to be something more.

There she is-
In the mirror
A spitting image of myself,
Crooked nose, green eyes, chubby cheeks,
And yet she is nothing like me
She doesn’t know me
Not the way I do.
