When all you wish to do
Is sleep the day away;
When you struggle
To struggle through a day
Because the world is clouded
By the tears filling
The emptiness that now resides
Where your soul
Used to lie.
This,
This is real.
Reality has sunk in,
Everything has grown numb.
It is when numb is welcome,
When you welcome
Any feeling
Other than the pain
That has sunk its anchor
In the sea of hydrochloric acid
Sloshing around inside your stomach.
This,
This is real.
