Our worlds crash down,
Lie in rubble by our toes:
A looming forecast of
A future tempest.

Triumph and accomplishment,
Crushing our routine.
Distance and separation,
Chiseling away fragments of brick.

Covenants will act
As attempted reconstruction,
But somehow I've been willing to concede
That demolition will ensue.
