Boom, goes the pound of thunder,
So heavy, so powerful that sound
That rings in their ears,
And shakes the soul deep within.
Crash, goes the fall of water,
Like waves from the sky,
Shivering and banging on windows and walls,
Like a snare drum gone astray.
Swift, the human runs,
Twenty feet, that is all,
From the doorstep of light and warmth,
To the drenched handle of the car.
So heavy, so powerful that sound
That rings in their ears,
And shakes the soul deep within.
Crash, goes the fall of water,
Like waves from the sky,

Like a snare drum gone astray.

Twenty feet, that is all,
From the doorstep of light and warmth,
To the drenched handle of the car.
