Almost Doesn't Count

I had him waiting.
Almost had the nerve, to tell him how I feel.
Now it almost even hurts.
To know that he's yours
I almost had myself believin that he coulda been mine.
I could have had a happy ending.
If it weren't for her.
I almost had you in my arms,
Almost called you mine.
But I know all too well that "almost" doesn't matter now...
