I could be sittin' here whinin' about all the things that never go right
I could be layin' here cryin' myself to sleep at night
But I'm on a mission to make something of myself
And to do that I don't need anybody else
All I need is me
'cause I'm the only one that will trust me
All I need is me
'cause I'm the only one who can bring the world to it's knees
I wanna make you see
that this is not what we were meant to be
We gave control to our desires
they're starting up a fire
destroying all that we could be
can't you see?
I could lay back and be just like you
Ignoring everything the big guys do
without a care and my claims you won't hear
until they screw you over next year
