Blind Music

By , Houston, TX
Some say that one must love with one’s heart,
Yet I loved with my ears.
Strange, perhaps, but it was the start,
Of something that I feared.

If her voice had a color,
it would be orange.
It filled you with zest and ardor,
but stung if impinged.

Don’t ask me how she looked like,
Of that I cannot say anything.
I never saw her once,
But heard her a lifetime singing.
