Lets play pretend,
just like the days when we
were younger.

Lets pretend everything
is okay.
Lets pretend that no one
suffers from hunger,
or abuse.

Lets pretend everyday
is a blank sheet.
Lets pretend that the scars
aren’t there.

Lets pretend me and you
was alright.
Lets pretend there
is still love left,
and you don’t tell lies.

Now lets play reality,
where i can’t
trust you, and
the world is a horrible
place.

Lets not play pretend anymore.
