If only it was a dream

I only wish that this wasn't true.
The night you were taken away from me.
Forever.
You left my house late that night.
I thought everything would be okay.
That you would get home safe just
like every other time you leave.
But this time was different.
I told you I wouldn't know what to
do without you in my life.
And that night,
I had to begin to learn how.
Sweetheart you were taken away from me.
Why?
Why you.
If only I could just wake up.
A part of me died with you that night Sweetheart.
But Forever you will stay in my heart.
