The day that I met you
I knew you were the one
I didn’t try to tell you
I had too much fun
The days they passed quickly
And you started to see
That I loved you, darling
As much as could be
At first you were startled
Didn’t know what to say
Slowly you realized
You liked me that way
The day of our wedding
All dressed in white
You told me you loved me
As much as day needs the night
Later, I realized
As you have gone from me
That day without a night
Is and everlasting torture to me
