Where Did Love Go?

Where did the roses go?
The ones that sat in your cheeks
Just beneath the skin
Without them your face is so pale
Too pale even for death

Where did the sea go?
I always saw it
Reflected in yours eyes
Have the constant tears
Washed away all color?

Where did the dye go?
I always knew you used it
No hair is that perfect
It’s not perfect anymore
But it’s still beautiful

Where did the ring go?
I put it on your finger
And then you walked away
Saying goodbye, farewell
To me and to the world

I like this - its painfully simple, flows perfectly. Really, really good stuff :)

This is a beautiful poem. I really like how each stanza begins with a question. Five stars!
