Until We Meet Again
We were only eighteen,
No part of us broken.
Death had no meaning,
It went unspoken.
You held me hand,
You were my friend.
You made me laugh
'Til the bitter end.
My heart is heavy,
And the pain will last.
But to know you was worth it,
I wouldn't take it back.
It didn't take your absence
To know what you meant.
I loved you either way,
I didn't need an event.
I can feel you around me,
Between the hurt and the tears.
I know you're my angel,
And you will be for years.
Please thank your parents
For all that they've done.
They've given me you,
Made a wonderful son.
This isn't a goodbye,
Or a so long, friend.
Just keep me safe, angel.
Until we meet again.
