lost in depth

A worn through soul
dead before she ever lived
used and abused
stepping on broken glass
to feel the last of herself
trying to find the father she dreamed about in the different faces of her one night stands
the ever changing beat of her heart
is now frozen
locked in a death hold
a knife sliced her throat
all her life
she just had feelings
of pain
anger
fear
but now she is numb
forever enclosed in the dark
no surprises or beatings
the city lights never sparkle
in her palace of gloom
where death is king
