My time

I always am in the background,
Standing there, watching everyone else shine.
I always envy the people who shine
Every moment of their day.
I am tired of being pushed aside,
Not being able to share the glory.
For everyone who ever doubted me,
Or pushed me down,
Or didn't believe in me,
It's now my time to shine.
I will no longer stand in the shadows,
I will go to the front and shine.
I will succeed and prove you wrong.
I am a star, and I will shine bright.
