Split lip
Bleeding nose
Broken home
And nobody knows

Loud yells
Angry screams
But at school
Her smile still gleams

Hidden thoughts
Forbidden to share

BUt school is safe
Home-a battle ground
But unlike real war
She can't hide behind mounds

She wants to scream

Fed up
Sick of his actions

The next time he grabs her
She'll say "self defense"
Police with say "murder"
