A mess of litter sticks to the blacktop roads
and empty allies between the abandoned abodes.
Rules I can't escape in the land of reality
and laws I cannot break from in this world of hostility
The color is draining from the stories we have wrote,
so long ago it seems, as we try to stay afloat,
The light of dawn shines down upon the sullen ground
whilst eyes of dejected faces smile up from their graying and subtle background
The high skies above bring many hopes of a new life
so be brave my friend and may your future not be strife
Oh, to escape to a place of no worries or tears would be tough
but along a road so strong and fair, we will get there soon enough
just wait and you will see this world isn't as awful as it seems
'cause behind that final wall lies a land full of your wildest dreams.
So look out from the shadows and in towards the stars
for that is where you will find that we are all superstars.
If you feel your pace slowing, just know to keep on going
Even when the sky starts sleeting or snowing
When fire eats it's way across a once green field
don't worry, for a much greater power shall yet be revealed
When dark ashes cloud the sky and cover the ground
the strongest will arise like a fiery phoenix from the mound
when you feel the increasing feeling of hate
just remember your destined a most heroic fate
