In spite of everything, I believe that people are really good at heart.
-Anne Frank

On solitary nights
You just might feel
The subtle sounds of slumber
Faint sighs of weariness
Echoing from the Unknown
The soft brush
Of a figure
Delicately descending
Onto a pink cloud
And silently drifting
Down to the calm water below
In which you may hear
The ripples of the tide
Moving in
And you may wonder
What you are feeling
The muffled sounds
Of an angel
Transitioning to slumber
Far off in a distant land
Somewhere everyone
Gets to live
At some point
Heaven

I was really calm one night, so I decided to write about an angel's slumber.
