Green Is

Green is a color of confidence, if colors can have such a thing, green does. Green is freshly cut grass in the summertime, my crushes’ favorite color. Green is the color you think of when being organic and naturally beautiful is concerned, when global warming goes and takes the ice and cold weather away from all the polar bears. Green is the color of the tree outside my window, the color of Harry’s eyes. Green is the neon Chuck Taylors that are so faded and comfortable and worn that you don’t care about keeping them ‘clean’ anymore. Green is the color of the nail polish fading on my finger nails, once there fully but now only half present, still there, in the background, waiting to be loved and called your favorite color once again. Green is always there, always waiting, waiting like someone who knows they’re going to be loved by you again.
