Let's Pretend it Never Happened
let’s pretend it never happened
why forgive
when you can instead forget?
how could letting it drop
cause one to regret
when bringing it back up
makes everyone upset?
maybe our relationship is strained.
maybe one can say it’s not very well maintained
but at least our fights are nothing to fret
since eventually
we always
just seem
to
forget.
