As seconds fly back,
A quick glance.
A subtle memory-
Swarms back.

As minutes fly back,
Smells and feelings
Begin to paint-
That subtle memory
Back to life-
and what once was.

As hours fly back,
Faces and images reappear,
And feelings long forgotten.
Reality melts at
The touch of my memories.
Wishing to stay
In the midst-
Of my past.

As days fly back,
Vivid details replay
Longing to forever-
Be remembered.
Whole pictures
Detail my mind.
Questions answered.
And before I knew it…
Gone.
