There is no place in this world
For a hollowed out shell
Like mine
There is no place in this world
For tears over the brightness of the moon
Like mine
There is no place in this world
For a stone cold stare at a fellow passerby
Like mine
There is no place in this world
For a head full of dark shadows
Like mine
There is no place in this world
For thoughts of jumping over the edge
Like mine
There is no place in this world
For the cold, stiff body of a once happy girl
Like mine

The author's comments:
I used to think I only wrote depressing peices when I was, well, depressed. But its been a while since things were hard and I actually had a really good day today. Yet my writings still come out dark! I think it's pretty much a habit and all I know how to express. I actually wrote this while setting up my account for Teen Ink. I wrote the first 9 lines and thought it was stupid and going nowhere. Then I came back to it about 15 minutes later and finished it. Just some temporary writer's block.
