I wish people could accept me for me
I wish they could see
Deep down in my heart
Who I truly am

I care and I love
But all they do is hate
They show no generosity
Nor try to generate

I am a human
Who deserves acceptance
Without all that
I’m only independent

People of this world
Show your love
Without love
People’s lives get tough

Don’t hide behind
Your consequences
Be found in

Acceptance!

Ive always wanted people to accept me for me. Not who they imagined me to be but who i was, truly. Writing this poem helped me stand up for myself.
