Every time I get a little bit better, you manage to wipe away the progress.
Is it just me or do you see the scars too?
I keep quiet but the truth threatens to spill, whenever I’m around you
If we could run into the sunset, I’m sure these scars could heal.

You talk about him and how he makes you feel, then ask about me and why I’m still single
I am far too gone for anyone to love me, and I don’t want anyone, anyone but you.
I keep building the courage to tell you the things not even god knows
Like my addiction to pain, and my addiction to you
If we could run into the sunset, I’m sure these scars could heal.

One day I’ll tell you, one day the truth will spill
As for now, I can’t tell you how I feel, since I don’t even know
My life revolves around the shiny blade speckled with blood
Hidden so no one will find my secret
If we could run into the sunset, I’m sure these scars could heal.

I guess just what was happening in my life at the time.
