Christmas is the time of year,
Spreading joyful smiles and the Christmas cheer.
Presents all around my house,
Looking for them like a quiet little mouse.
The colors red and green covered everything,
Too bad I couldn’t even see a thing.
Running for the chimney like a cheetah,
Too bad all I found was a fajita.
The chimney screamed, “HO,HO,HO MERRY CHRISTMAS!”
Now I am anxious to know if I am on the naughty list.
Santa’s here, Santa’s here!
I wonder if he brought his deer.
Pulling down his big red bag,
He pulled out a present with a big price tag.
I screamed out with joy and let out a smile,
I was hoping it would last awhile.
My parents came down,
And I let out a frown.
I turned around and he was gone.
I looked around and noticed it was almost dawn.
I ran upstairs and went to bed,
I could not get what just happened out of my head.
