As the eagle was killed by the arrow winged with his own feather, so the hand of the world is wounded by its own skill. -Helen Keller

The rain has always fallen down
Down from the clouds
Clouds of bright white
White is the absence of color

Today the rain seems different
Different in feel and mood
Moods very dark and sad
Sad is what brings the most tears

Splashing against my skin
Skin that shivers and catches the drops
Drops fat and icy cold
Cold seeping through the surface

The thing about rain
Rain can easily mask
Mask the tears as they're cried
Cried in the falling of the rain

My friend told me to write something about rain one day. Finding myself sitting there trying to force an idea onto the paper (not my preferred way of writing...) I decided to just experiment with a new writing style.
