Whether it’s your boyfriend, girlfriend, or even your best friend.
You trust them all the same when they say “I’ll be here till the end.”
Some people are gullible, others just don’t believe it
But when they hear “I promise” the other must really mean it
Time goes by and unfortunately people change
For some it’s for the better, for others it’s just never the same
It’s sad to watch them leave
But once they do you might very well be relieved
“Boyfriends come and go but friends are here to stay”
Usually this applies but sometimes it is the other way
All I know is that this isn’t really true
The truth hurts, because after all your loved ones are leaving you.
