We spend all our lives
Building these things
These buildings
These bridges
Some we start
And never finish
Some we finish
And never use
Some are destroyed
By accident
By a single word
Some are repaired
Over
And
Over
Eventually it’s gone
Permanently
No structure
No foundation
Sometimes we ourselves
Do this damage
After all
If Charon himself
Drives his busloads over
Every
Single
Time
It’s rebuilt
No matter what’s on the other end
You need to cut your losses and
Burn the bridge
