Why Did You Go?

As much as I didn't want you to go,
I know you had to leave me
I had no choice but to let go,
I just wish you were here with me.
I lived without you by my side,
For more than eight years
But I know I would have to survive,
The more I think that, I shed tears.
I hope you found your way to Heaven,
To join God and the angels there
I know you're watching me from above,
I'm glad to know I'm safely guarded.
