So my cold heart has been turning; yet I feel this constant burning

Here I sit in my tears waiting for you to come through the door

In the dark to which I’m peering, all alone to which I’m fearing

Like a friend you sit here hearing all my words down to the core

Just like a friend you give advice, all your words sink to the core

That’s what you were always for
