Fading
Dizzy, tired, unable to move.
Sliced wrist, broken leg, crushed ribs.
IV in my arm, all bandaged up.
Alone in a bed in a hospital.
Eyes barely opened, body very stiff.
Feeling my heartbeat, slowly ending.
I hear solemn weeping, besides me.
A close friend there, out of love.
Thank you kind angel, for caring.
Even though I'm dying, intentionally.
My eyes close for a last time, slowly.
The sound of your weeping, fading.
