Silent Screams
As our silent screams
Are drowned in the rain,
They are our only savers
From the deafening pain.
Whilst trapped in the midst
Of a tormenting flood
Flowing from our cuts
Come streams of blood.
The once joyous
Shouts and cheers
Have been suffocated
By the most hellish fear.
A fear not of what's above,
Nor of having no one to love.
Not of meeting Death by stone,
Or even of being blind and alone
A fear that our
Silent screams
Won't shatter the walls
Of this despairing dream
A fear that we'll stay chained
To our faux sinful past,
Shouts muffled by that
Wretched benevolent mask
May Death meet
Us with deafening haste
To disentangle our souls
From this drowning place.
As our silent screams
Are drowned in the rain,
They are our only savers
From the deafening pain.
